Plum Facts
The Plum is a fruit tree in the genus Prunus, subgenus Prunus. The subgenus distinguishes a plum from other Prunus such as Peaches (Prunus persica), or Cherries (Prunus avium). Plum trees are thought to produce fruit, not berries.
